I ordered this Magtame USB-C cable because I love how the magnetic cable coils on itself and stays together, no dangling leads to get tangled but it unravels easily when needed. It's fast charging, a good fit and does everything I need. There's no twisting, it sits comfortably in whatever gadget's being charged, from laptops to lights and clocks, and the charger/plug itself

This is a good example of you get what you pay for. These cables are not cheap, as much down to how they are made, but they offer excellent performance, both data and charging (note great on the former does not mean the same on the latter, but great on charging performance does mean great data performance). I tested the charging performance using the Electron app on my mobile phone and say top levels of charging.

As others have said, it is the cable that is magnetic, and not that strong, not the connectors, but that is all they need to be as it is all about being able to coil up your cable without fuss or mess, or the need for any cable ties.

Now I must admit I had already seen and heard about Magtame cabled from Jon on the Jon Gadget YouTube channel (no affiliation) so when I saw this come up to test I was delighted to be able to get my hands on the cable. Sure this is not a cheap cable, but now I may consider an ever more expensive 2 meter version, though round not flat.

This is a USB-A to USB-C magnetic cable and I love these Magtame products. They work brilliantly and have quickly become my cable of choice, particularly due to the way they neatly coil for easy storage without tangling and this one is no different.

It’s true they are not the cheapest, but they are built to last and work faultlessly.
